Oh. Em. Gee! We’ve already been in our gorgeous space for over a year. We’ve all fallen head over heels with our intimate feminine boutique. It’s hard to believe Ivory Rose didn’t always look this way!
After touring a few available properties in Downtown Appleton, we said Yes! to our dream space. Our neighbors at Depawsitory were the prior tenants before they moved to their current location. As you can imagine, a pet store & bridal boutique don’t have a ton in common! It took some visualizing but the location was perfect, the large windows provided amazing natural light & the flooring was recently updated. The overall bones were good, it just needed a little face lift before we could welcome our brides.
Fortunately, our owner Marissa has a very handy husband & loving family who were able to do all the construction! We started with building, framing & dry-walling our fitting rooms to match the existing interior walls. We removed the existing watermarked ceiling tiles, painted the grid & installed clean new tiles. While updating the ceiling, we swapped out the industrial light fixtures for glam pendants & crystal chandeliers. Then came the paint! Covering the funky vibrant colors took many, many coats of paint.
Once the minor build out & cosmetics were done, it was time for furniture, fixtures & decor! Marissa’s husband custom made all of the hanging racks in our boutique so we have plenty of flexibility for our brides. We brought in our plush velvet furniture, vintage chic mirrors & built our front desk counter. The only thing left was to train our team, bring in our inventory & we could start welcoming our brides!
